My favorite shoes are beautiful red boots. They were way out of my price range but I kept talking (and dreaming) about them. So, on my 40th birthday, I was having a crappy day, and told my friends I wasn’t feeling up to going out and they would have to celebrate me, without me. Pretty soon I heard a car outside, a horn honk, and someone yell, “happy birthday asshole”! My daughter came in with a huge beautifully wrapped box and told me someone tossed it in our yard. I love those boots, and I love my friends.
